East-West is an EU project funded under EU Asia-link Programme Third Call 2004. This three years long project has started from December 2004. The project aims to develop existing and new co-operative teaching, research links and networking among the participating institutes in the area of information engineering technology.
The project will facilitate the enhancement and transfer of knowledge and skills
of research staff and postgraduate research students by introducing cutting
edge skills and methods in information engineering technology. The project involves
six partners: University of Bradford (UK), Université Lumière
Lyon 2 (France); University of Staffordshire (UK); Shanghai Jiao Tong University
(China), Kantipur Engineering College (Nepal) and Chiang Mai University (Thailand)).
The project is managed MOSAIC research group at
the University of Bradford.

Conferences The SKIMA 2008 conference will be hosted by KEC, one of the leading engineering colleges of Nepal and one of our collaborators university. The conference will be on 18th – 21th March, 2008. The official website

Collaborative Workshop In order to foster collaboration and leverage the research outcomes from these and other programs, Asia-EU researchers are holding a workshop at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai China, January 2008). This Asia-EU workshop aims at fostering research cooperation between some EU and Asia countries (France, UK, China, Thailand, Nepal, Singapore, Japan…) researchers and research students in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Computer Science Research for Product Life Cycle Design, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Life Cycle Logistics.
